2026 Disaster Relief Certification | Northside Disaster Relief Team

After the devastating hurricane of 2024, many have felt a strong desire to help, but may not have known how to get involved. Now is your chance to be trained and certified to join the disaster relief efforts in the future.

We invite you to join us as we get certified in Disaster Relief through Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief. The training will take place as a group at Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring, GA on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th. This certification is required for all first-time volunteers. 

The training consists of two sessions:

• Session 1 – Friday Night (6:00 – 9:00 PM): This is an introduction to the ministry of Disaster Relief.
• Session 2 – Saturday Morning (8:00 – 10:00 AM or 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM for Chaplaincy): Training in the specific ministry area.

During the online registration, choose from one of following:

• Chaplaincy
• Cleanup & Recovery
• Family Care
• Feeding
• Shower Units

Once you register with Northside, you'll receive an email to register with GA Baptist Disaster Relief.  The cost for certification is $45 which is paid directly through their registration.   

NOTE: During the online registration, you have the opportunity to register to cross train in an additional ministry area on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. However, if training in Chaplaincy, you will NOT be able to cross train on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
